Refers to the nuisance on the west side of Kent Street. The vacant piece of ground between Capt Rountree's Floating Dock and the foot of Clyde Street, Millers Point, is used by the City Corporation to break stones. Loose soil and stones have been laid on the upper part of the cliffs. Recent heavy rain has taken many tons into the harbour and the upper part seems likely to fall at any time. They recommend building a retaining wall at the foot of the cliff, and no more loose soil to be deposited there.
