Letter: H Chapman, Forest Lodge: presently excavating a site for 5 shops in George St, across from Liverpool St, and thought should have no difficulty in getting a licence to use powder, as held one for similar work at Victoria Arcade, at Eliz & Castlereagh Sts, last March. My application made, with consent of adjacent owners, and refused, great increase in costs ... Building will be known at Hinton's Building, 2 doors from the Sir John Young Hotel.
