(Note: 29/10/88 Inspector of Pavements. Attended to - the tenant noticed to remove tiles and pave according to specification: WR;1/11/88. This is a letter from Mr Thos Waldron dated the 19th inst in which he claims fifty pounds (£50) compensation for injuries received through the state of footway in Albion Street Surry Hills opposite Swindale's Chemist shop. Previous correspondence is referred to herein. Copy of which is herewith enclosed. The footway at the time of occurrence was paved with tiles and in good order. Such a fall might happen in these or under any conditions, therefore I am of opinion that the claim should not be entertained. It may also be observed that such was not made nor suggested by first correpondence until the lapse of some time after the said fall. In these circumstances the City Solicitor might advise: RWR;22/11/88.
