By direction inform you a letter from Mr W T Farrell Jnr, 144 Flinders St, Moore Park, complaining of insanitary state of Kippax Lake, Moore Park. Notes: City Surv: report, John Stacey, Supt of Works and Moore Park Ranger: prior to 16th, water in lake very low, men cleaning out tins and rubbish, and used 6 bags of stone lime to clarify by slackning [sic] and thrown in. Rained, register showing [3 days] and water rising, now overflowing with 1½" running in outlet pipe which carried all offensive water with it.
