A few days ago, the pole on a blind in front of shop Williams & Griffiths, grocers, on George St opp the Town Hall was blown by the wind into my face and nearly broke my teeth. The same happened to a friend at Horderns on Brickfield Hill when she almost had an eye put out. I do not object to the blinds, but the poles hanging from them. Notes: MH: city surv report. RWR: Mr Seymour to report. RS: inpsected no 540 Geo St, pole complained of had been removed. Occupant advised me they had removed it, and no knowledge of accident. At Messrs Hordensr, 662-670 Geo St, no sun blinds, but they are hung in the afternoon at adjacent premises. RWR: seems to be a matter for C B Surveyor. To City Bldg Surv.
