Committee found that the supply of water from the Lachlan Swamp was sufficient and recommended two men should be appointed to keep the channels and mouth of the Tunnel clear, certain streets be supplied with 9 inch pipe (parts of Market, Castlereagh, Hunter, O'Connell and Pitt Streets), sources of pipe, charges to be made and other personnel to be appointed. Committee made a detailed report on the state of the Tunnel and repairs needed and on the supply at Soldiers Point.
