V. Curtis, Clerk of the George Street Market, and other matters. Mr Curtis tendered his voluntary resignation to the Committee which was recommended to be accepted by Council. Committee dealt with the following other matters: complaints of stallholders of the George Street Market of forestalling and their remonstrances against Bonds and Leases or Indentures; applications for transfer of leases of stalls in the George Street Markets; applications for Clerk of the Market and an Assistant referred to the Subordinate Officers Committee; applications by the Clerk of the Market for stationery, an assistant and allowance for sweeping; application by G and T.
