Tooth & Co., on Kent Brewery letterhead, asking what decision has been made with regard to their water meter. The City Engineer reports that he tested the water meter belonging to Tooth & Co. and found it registered exactly when in full work but when the cock was about one quarter open he found the water passed through and the meter worked without registering at all. Messrs Tooth & Co. to be informed that the meter they have provided does not register correctly the quantity piping through it. Another of 1¼ inch size (which has been found to work correctly) must be substituted and connected if approved by the City Engineer.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
