Stephen Gleadall submitting the bill of £28.11.0 for damage sustained through the overflowing of the water from the mains upon the sand hills. He encloses a copy of Dr Laws certificate showing he attended Mr Gleadall's family from May to 22nd July for rheumatism and severe colds caused by the dampness of his house. Edward Bell, City Engineer recommends that Mr Gleadall's claim be settled to avoid useless litigation.
