There is a report by Richard Seymour, Inspector of Nuisances who writes that there is only a very smalll portion of the street within the City boundary. 64 houses in Greens Road, Selwyn Street and Iris Street all within the Borough of Paddington, are not connected with the sewer, and the drainage flows into Iris Street where there is no means of escape.
