In accordance with instructions of the Improvement Committee to report on advisability and cost of repairing the Road leading from the Wharf to the Pennant Hills Quarry, I state the road is very bad throughout, and needs to be re-formed, re-ballasted, re-metalled, cost not exceeding £4500. Council should fully consider its interest, if sufficient to warrant this outlay. I am of opinion that it should be constructed by the Government. Note: send copy of report, Colonial Secretary.
