In 1878, took possession of the Gentlemen's Baths, Woolloomooloo Bay, and to make them acceptable to the public and the residence comfortable, did works. Steps, entrance, erected a urinal, floored shower room, gardens so overgrown the cow could not be seen therein, scrub cut & cleared and formed walks etc. Put in hob to all fireplaces, water to kitchen, drains, new locks, sundry other improvements. I feel I have the right to remove some and under circumstances beg favourable consideration for compensation. Note: City Solicitor: cannot be complied with.
