Richard Seymour, Inspector of Nuisances. Two memos regarding the use of council scavanger carters and labourers as cleaners at the Markets, when they are urgently required in other parts of the city. There is also a notation by the Clerk of the Markets, S Howell, that on Saturday morning some of Mr Seymour's men come to the Haymarket Square. Seymour writes that they also come on Tuesday and Thursdays, and he suggests that there be appointed an additional carter and labourer for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the markets in York Street.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
