He reports an intolerable and dangerous nuisance, where gas for railway purposes is manufactured at the Redfern Station (from material foreign to that of coal), and gaseous matter makes its way into the gully shafts in the streets of Devonshire, Castlereagh South, Buckingham, Railway Bridge George St, Ultimo Rd, Harris and Sussex.
