Next building on the right at number 3 is the Commonwealth Bank. Tall white building on the right at the end of Martin Place is Wentworth Court at 62-66 Elizabeth Street and 157 Phillip Street. On the left at 48-56 Martin Place is the Government Savings Bank of NSW and the Rural Bank. Street lamps are located along the centre of Martin Place which was originally Martin Lane and ran from George Street to Pitt Street until widened in 1892 and became Martin Place.
