A triangular pedestrian island divides the opening to Broadway with St Benedicts Church in the background and a tram passing the intersection. Building on the left with the cars parked outside is John Fairfax and Sons at 512-514 Wattle Street. On the right hand corner at 129 Broadway is Bert Lewis selling Balm Dulux paints. Next to him at 513 Wattle Street is a building materials yard. White building at the far left in Abercrombie Street belongs to Tooth and Company.
