A policeman is directing traffic with pedestrians standing on the triangular pedestrian island which divides the opening to Broadway. Building on the left hand corner at 129 Broadway is Bert Lewis selling Balm Dulux paints. Next to him at 513 Wattle Street is a building materials yard, A Cook and Sons, carriers with a public weighbridge is at 509, Southern Portland Cement is at 503 and Briscoe and Company is at 485-501 Wattle Street.
