William Tunks, Mayor of St Leonards, aldermen and residents of the North Shore. The Government have kindly consented to lay a flexible pipe across the Harbour for their use in anticipation of the future supply of their districts from the Nepean Scheme when completed. They ask that the City Council extend the pipe to a convenient point so as to deliver water to the residents in water carts. The water used would not exceed a tenth of that used by Woollahra which has house service and consumed seventeen million gallons in nine months.
