Some 6 years ago, received a 21 year lease for portion of wharf and have been compelled to drive a boundary pile on the Southern side of my water to run my Annandale Ferry at the established times. Lessees of the next wharf have blocked me by lying steam collier lighters alongside ships discharging. The S C Duchenfield broke down my pile, forcing itself in with steam winches and main engine. I appeal to you to [keep my right to access]. Note: 1. Walter Byrnes; 2.Geo Merriman, City Sol., if the council grant permission to the Newcastle Steam Coy, I will see that Byrnes' interest are protected.
