A Number of residents of further Western Sydney are desirous to connect their premises with the Water Mains, and the Govt consent thereto on condition a portion of the revenue is paid into Treasury. Called today on Mr Moriarty and Mr Burling informed me a series of propositions to the Under Treasurer, who will be glad to confer with City authorities. Urge permission be granted: 1. public urgently require the water; 2. revenue is being lost. Notes: 1) City Eng keep this under my advice, cannot see why permission of Govt required, when connections made, owners will sign an undertaking agreeing to pay Council the Water Rate, prepare a draft contract for the Water Committee. 2) matter disposed of by interview with Govt.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
