They were requesting Sydney Council to do this as the firm selling the tonic had relocated from Paddington to Castlereagh Street. The Inspector of Nuisances purchased the tonic and had it tested stating that it appeared to contain no extract of Koala nut. The papers were then sent to the City Solicitor for advice. He returned the papers advising that the Inspector of Nuisances' report and the analyst's report be sent to the Board of Health. He added a memo saying that he doubted that a prosecution could be brought under the Public Health Act.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
