City Solicitor explains that he has been called to attend to a great number of council meetings and meetings relating to the various offices of Council. The Police prosecutions have been taken on by his brother who is fully qualified and does not represent an extra expense to Council. However he suggests that if the Mayor prefers that he should, as far as practicable, take the prosecutions personally that he should be released from attendance at council meetings unless specifically requested to attend.
