In reply, I beg to assure you that, though it would be exceedingly gratifying, to my feelings as an individual, to comply with the request of so numerous a body of my fellow Citizens, after most anxious and impartial consideration, I deem it my duty to deny myself that gratification, the object of the proposed Meeting not being of a Civic or local character.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordNo
