Unique IDA-00444744SeriesLetters Received from the Colonial Secretary, 1842-1859Date10th October 1851FormatVolume - HardcoverDescriptionLetter from Colonial Secretary acknowledging receipt of Accounts submitted by Council for Expenses incurred in Compilation of Electoral Lists of the District of Sydney and in Election of Members to serve in the Legislative Council, totalling £467.4.2, and advising that: 1) Auditor General reports that Amounts for Printing should be restricted to Rates charged by Sydney Morning Herald - £2 per sheet for 250 copies; 2) the amount of £53 for Erecting Hustings and Polling Booths should be Endorsed by two competent persons Certifying that this work was performed according to Specification; 3) the whole of the Accounts require Certification by the Mayor with insertion of Dates when articles were supplied or services performed; 4) Auditor General has been authorised, on receipt of the Accounts, to prepare a Warrant to meet the Payments for which provision has been made; 5) a sum will be placed on the Supplementary Estimates for discharge of the Other Claims which will be paid on the vote being passed.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
