Unique IDA-00444942SeriesLetters Received from the Colonial Secretary, 1842-1859Date15th December 1854Date qualifierexactFormatVolume - HardcoverDescriptionLetter from Colonial Secretary requesting that City Commissioners furnish the following information to the Legislative Council: 1) Names of all Persons now Employed, Nature of Employment, Salaries paid to each (excepting only laborers); 2) Gross Amount paid for Labor and Materials for Effecting Improvements in the City of Sydney from the time of Appointment of Commissioners to 1st december 1854; 3) Return of Persons Previously in employment of the late Corporation of Sydney (if any) who have been Dismissed and the Grounds of such dismissal; 4) Nominal Return of all Officers and Others, not being laborers, who have Resigned office and the Correspondence relating thereto; 5) Nature of every Contract involving a Charge upon the City, entered into by the Commissioners, stating the Names of the Persons so contracted and the Gross Amount involved in Completion of every Contract; 6) a Statement of the Course adopted by the Commissioners for Obtaining Metal for City Purposes and whether the Horses, Carts and Harness employed have been obtained by Tender or otherwise.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYesBorn digital itemNo
