Unique IDA-00444927SeriesLetters Received from the Colonial Secretary, 1842-1859Date16th October 1854FormatVolume - HardcoverDescriptionLetter from Colonial Secretary respecting Further Advances required on account of Loans for Sewerage and Water Supply, sanctioned by Acts of Council 17 Vict Nos 34 and 35, and advising that, as the sum of £15,000 has been paid into Colonial Treasury by the Savings Bank, being £7,500 for each of these Services, Auditor General has been instructed to prepare a Warrant for Issue of the same. It is further advised that the Balance of the Amount applied for cannot be obtained from the Savings Bank, at the Rate of Interest presently Authorised, and it will therefore be necessary to Submit a Bill to Legislative Council before any Additional Sums are Borrowed on account of these Loans.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
