(Note: City Engineer's office. In reference to Mr Zions' complaint that the Boundary wall of the Paddington Reservoir encroaches upon some ground recently purchased by him from the Trustees of the St Matthias School grant, I have the honor herewith to forward a plan which shows that the School Grant in question does not extend to the alignment of the Old Sth Head Road but is retired a distance of 27 links to the rear thereof. At that line Mr Zions' frontage is in excess of his demands, but as he wants to build up to the building alignment and the east and west boundary lines converge, the frontage is diminished to 100 links and the measurement on the ground conforms to that length. Mr Zions will have therefore, if he build up to the alignment, to keep 2 links away from boundary wall of the Reservoir.
