(Note: City Surveyor Report: CHW. Such an application as this should be made under the Sydney Corporation Act (43. Vic. Nr 3) Clause 70 for the approval of Council - Neither plan nor section are signed by the owners as required. "Craigend Terrace", a street only 30 feet wide, is extended in this subdivision. I do not know if this is allowed by the Act. The north point is shewn incorrectly on plan being marked at the "South". The proposed levels for the Lanes & for Craigend Terrace are all such as I could never recommend, on account of the impracticable gradients given, which would virtually render them useless for traffic. This has been done apparently to save the cost of cutting in rock which would be necessary to make the lanes accessible. & which would be expensive. For instance gradients of 1 in 7, 1 in 9 & 1 in 11 are to be seen on the sections.
