(Note: Alderman Taylor. 16/5/82 City Surveyor: JohnH. I have caused a careful survey to be made of this portion of the City, which I forward for the information of the Committee. On this plan I have tinted the block of ground which I would advise the Council to resume if they decide to extend Slip St to Sussex St as herein requested; which would certainly be a vast improvement. This block consists of 12 houses having a frontage of 85' 6" to Sussex Street, of which 66 feet would be taken for the new street, the remaining 19' 6" being valuable for resale as a corner lot after the alterations were carried out. I would propose at the same time, with the view of improving the facilties for traffic, to proclaim Lime, Union, and Slip Streets as shewn, with reduced footways in Lime Street so as to widen the roadway; and then to pitch the roads with cube setts have Bluestone K&G: and provide by means of E.W.
