Unique IDA-01198795SeriesLetters Sent, 1842-1900Date20th May 1844Date qualifierexactFormatVolume - Letterpress CopybookDescriptionAcknowledgement of the reciept of a letter from on 10 May 1844 regarding the request for Mr Peter Plomer for construction of a drain on the corner of Castlereagh and Goulburn Street. He informs there has been no meeting of the Board of works since the date of the sent letter which is there has been a delay in reply. As directed by the Chairman of the Board of Works he is directed the drain may be contructed under the conditions that the it be continued to the intersection of Campbell Street, the excavation of the whole distance and removal of debris will be at the expence of the Corporation as well as the furnating of surface grates.
