The return to go to the Ward Assessment Committee within 21 days. Enclosed is Abstract of Proceedings of the Council on the new assessment of property which includes the duties of a Valuer. Also enclosed Forms on which returns to be made with the following headings: 1. Number on the Assessment Roll; 2. Street, Lane etc where located; 3. Number of building; 4. Name of proprietor or landlord; 5. Name of present occupant; 6. Description of property eg house, shop, boarding house etc; 7. Whether of stone, brick or wood; 8. Number of floors; 9. Number of rooms; 10. Width; 11. Depth; 12. Amount of Rack-rent paid; 13. Date of taking; 14. Tenure by lease or otherwise; 15. Value of property in your judgement; 16. Value as fixed by Ward Assessment Committee; 17. Value fixed by Council; 18. General Remarks. The columns 16 and 17 to be left blank. The allowance to be paid is ten shillings and six pence per day.
