In view of preliminary surveys for supply of water to the City being in a state of forwardness, and the desirability for purchase of iron mains and machinery required as eligible opportunities may arise, request that steps be taken, in accordance with Section 1 of the abovementioned Act, to have the sum of £20,000 placed at the disposal of the Commissioners, to meet the expense of the City water supply.
