Corner facade has the proprietor's name P E Potter at the top and a clock reading 2.30 pm below. Large signs advertise Tooths Imperial Pale Ale and Double Stout and atop the second level is the hotels name. Some windows have venetian blinds and an ornamental gaslamp hangs in the centre of illuminated archway. In centre picture stands a traffic policeman on point duty and groups of men in hats stand on the pavement as a woman and child cross the intersection. Building at the centre left, in Regent Street, is a police station.
