Hansford's Balmain Ferry Hotel in Erskine Street, on the corner of Shelley Street Sydney. The hotel is in a two and a half storey, split level rendered and painted sandstone with ornamental balustrade and central flagpole. A curved multi-coloured iron roofed awning covers a verandah with wrought iron lace balcony and decorative iron uprights. An ornamental gaslight stands outside the main entrance and another gaslamp hangs from the balcony.
