Requesting immediate repair of the sewer through their property which burst the previous afternoon and flooded their slip and paint shop. (Note: Referred to the City Surveyor: JTJ;7/4/86. Bursting of pipe off Chowne St. Clerk of Works reports, on inspection, that this pipe is clear of all obstruction & that the damage done is evidently owing to the rainfall - which was excessive - being more than the capacity of the pipe.
