(Note: City Engineer. This letter does not disclose the purpose for which the land is required but I am aware that it is for recreation purposes, having been so informed by the Surveyor of Public Parks. The area in question is the heart of the Lachlan Watershed and I should therefore respectfully advise the withholding the consent of Council, at least until the area is no longer a gathering ground for city water. That granting of areas out of Moore Park for the Agricultural Assocn Zoological gardens etc. while on the watershed are remote from inlet into the pipes giving the water distance enough to purify itself by filtration and other causes, while the land asked for is directly over the entrance to Busby's bore: TJT;7 /4/86. 8/3/86 Mr Jones report to be adopted: JY. 15/4/86 Reply) LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
