In submitting this letter to the Mayor, I desire to point out - (1st) that although a portion of the stone sent by Mr Brown has been injured in the way he described (viz, in course of transit) yet a still larger quantity has never been dressed up to standard. (2nd) the proposal to dress the stone in Sydney is a good one: but I do not see how the Corporation can give Mr Brown yard-room. I am now cramped for space in our depots, and (for the work ordered) Mr Brown would want a very large yard - This - if granted to him - would have to be rented or bought by the Council: ACM; 2/4/86.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
