Asks Council to notify them of acceptance of their tender as soon as possible, so that they can import the raw materials required. The columns will be cast in the Colony and all the girders built up at their works at Ultimo. There is report by Geo McRae, City Architect who recommends that the tender be accepted at once, as it is very low, and the rumours of war could delay delivery and raise freights and prices.
