J O M Skelton, lessee, the Cyclorama, George Street South. He asked the Sanitary Inspector about the absence of street watering in his portion of George Street, and was informed that it was because of the gradient. He pointed out that much higher grades in George Street and other parts of the city are watered. The portion of the street used by the tramway is watered, and the 'busses always use that side instead of his owing to its bringing them next the railway. Notes: R W Richards, City Surveyor: this is not watered by a standing order from the Mayor since 1888, Mayor Manning might authorise a slight sprinkling as occasionally may require.
