Refer to inadequacy of drainage at lower end of Chowne St and our application to close part of the street and prior correspondence. Your resolution that no objection by Council, it transpires Chowne St has never been aligned or dedicated and not necessary to have consent of Parliament to close it. Fee simple is vested in trustees of the MacArthur Estate, Mr Cook owner of block facing end of the street is also agreeable. If left as is, Council responsible for provision of drainage, if leave given and closed, those costs would be borne by my Company. Note: Council cannot take any further aciton.
