I wrote on 22 Jan on the bad smell from the flat with a deposit of sewerage near my house, requesting [clean fill] only hundreds of loads of mud and town garbage tipped on it, and stench is beyond all endurance. My son is stricken with typhoid fever, the doctor has no doubt, from this. I beg that sufficient quantity of good earth to remedy this offensive nuisance.
