Apologise for not replying, due to my absence from town. The iron frieze carrying telephone and telegraph wires is a great improvement on the pole system with now too many wires to be accomodated. A subway, as in Paris costly. There is not a complete system of sewereage at present to be utilized for this purpose. The right to erect the Ironwork is in the Electric Telegraph Act, and ask you to not withdraw your support of [this] scheme.
