Directed to request notice to Mayor that as Harris St, Wentworth Park is closed for repair, a large amount of traffic is diverted to Wattle St, under repair by this Dept, sustaining great damage. Proposed to metal it at once, the stock of Govt material not sufficient, request old metal stripped from Harris St be given, Dept to bear cost of carting & spreading &c. Point out not unreasonable as traffic borne is diverted from a road under care of your Council.
