The Botany engines have been stopped for some considerable time and are not likely to be required any more, and there is further assistance required for the pumping engines for Waverley and Crown Street Works. He has been employed 17 years and 6 months at the Botany Water Works, and is applying for the position of Assistant Engineer. There is a notation by J Trevor Jones, City Engineer, that Ham was the senior engineer at Botany under Mr Westcott's direction.
