William Rylands, 2 Millers Street Pyrmont. He is 46 years old and has has been out of work for the last 3 months. His wife has run away with another man and took everything he possessed. He has four young children. His son in law has given them shelter for the past 4 nights, but he is also out of work. He asks for employment at the Randwick tip. There is a notation by the Town Clerk, Henry J Daniels, for Richard Seymour, Inspector of Nuisances to make inquiries and report by 9am tomorrow. Attached is Seymour's report. He and Mr Baker visited the family and found that it is true, and recommends that Rylands and his son be employed at the Moore Park tip with Mr Stacey.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
