Ebr Vickery Jr, 78 Pitt Street. There is no supply of water to the upstairs rooms of his residence at the corner af Vickery and Birrell Streets Waverley. This is due, he is told, to the Reservoir at Waverley not having more than 6 feet of water thus causing a want of pressure in the mains. There is a notation by J Trevor Jones, City Engineer that the premises are at an elevation where the reservoir needs to be full to provide pressure to the upper stories. The present pumping station at Crown Street is being worked night and day to meet requirements but he will give directions to keep the reservoir more full if practicable. The is a note to D C Robertson Esq by someone who checked and confirmed that the water is not reaching the tanks at the top of the building, and mentions that there is sickness in the family.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
