He brings to the attention of the Mayor the nuisance of the untrapped gully shaft in front of Mr Peterson's at 494 Elizabeth Street and a similar complaint from Mr Gent of Albion Street. Attached is a letter by E G Bell of 496 Elizabeth Street, Strawberry Hills. He has a four year lease on the house. He complains of the stench from the sewer, the sickness in his family, the disgraceful state of the closet. The building is entirely supported by an old door leaning against it.
