J Horbury Hunt, Sydney. He received a communication some months ago that extending the water mains out to Rose Bay will be considered, to give a supply to the Convent of the Sacred Heart. He has not heard further and the work is drawing to completion. A very large residence has just been completed adjoining the convent and other large plans are in the same locality. He writes in detail about the present supply to Rose Bay. There is a notation by J Trevor Jones, City Engineer, that the Council has approved the laying of a trunk main along the South Head New Road as far as its intersection with the road running into Point Piper, and he will submit the case to Council at the next meeting.LanguageEnglish (eng)Digitised recordYes
