Improvement Committee:JW. Mr Bell will please report what is the best use all the vacant land as at the Market Wharves can be applied to: JW. To report and estimate upon the land between Wharf and Sussex St will require the preparation of plans - and must occupy sometime - mean while - I would recommend that the nuisance to which this letter more particularly refers should be abated by fencing in the land to the building alignment of the road leading to Pyrmont Bridge with gates for an entrance Then between the parapet wall of the Bridge ... fence ten feet distant leave a passage to approach the waterman's stairs which I recommend should be removed nearer to the Bridge than they are at present - the approach to these stairs should be left free and lighted.
