(Note: I refused Mr Cato because he will not comply with the Market By-Laws. A short-time since I was instructed by your Worship to put down larrikins in the Markets, throwing is what I object to with Mr Cato. If Mr Cato will guarantee that he will desist I have no objection to his having a stall: GH;15/6/87. 27/6/87 Mr Cato to have a stall the Inspector to report any bad behaviour: AJR. 30/6/87 Clerk of Markets infd.) Unnamed writer 'Observer of the Markets', etc. dated 14/6/87 wrote he had heard of problems there and on checking found some stalls were fenced up and that they could be rented if the Market Clerk was bribed.
